OF RELIGION, LOGIC AND FAITH

There is one thing about religious writings, preachings and doctrines. They are cunning,equally sensible and sometimes controversial. 


On longer assessment, they make life seem easy,and that's the reason why they remain vital pillars of society.


The power of faith. The power of acceptance of beliefs.


The confidence there in is unimaginable,and the level of belief there is can't be mentioned to completion.


That said,one good thing about us human beings is that motivation plays a larger part of our lives, which religion offers in plenty. See where the mass reception and acceptance comes in? 


It's what the soul needs. It's what the ears should hear that keeps us all moving. It is what makes pain seem cut yet full,you understand?


In the book JOIN THIS CHARIOT By T.L Osborn,the introduction made me think for a second. 


It's catchy! Of course that's what literary works do to keep book keepers and collectors like me reading and reading, looking forward to the next page to the last.


"At a time when many ministers and churches were desperate for new ways to draw sinners into their sanctuaries to hear the gospel, T.L Osborn produced a classic,aimed at getting Christians ON THE GO... winning sinners,Out where they are."


The intention of T.L Osborn is clear. To reach out,to capture more souls,to win more people into the gospel.


That,ladies and gentlemen is a very good text of how the intention of flocking sanctuaries looks like. It's the clear intention of saving the lost and clearing their pathways in an effort to take them to heaven. The gospel of salvation.


Ministers are desperate to fill the 'premises'. They are creative,every single day. And the big word is SINNERS. It's that easy,right?


As a Christian,one who loves text and motivation,the word and the gospel,I don't count myself to have been born sinner who is now clean by acceptance and salvation, instead I regard myself as a human being looking forward to attain the highest of spiritual understanding and purity.


Many things are contradictory in this whole context owing to the theological opinions that differs immensely and is only fair to say that only the blind sheep shall fall trap to sharp knives of devour and destruction. 


Soul winning is intentional and a full time engagement in modern day religion, because it translates to a group of workers that pay bills,that offers a platform to quench lust and make life a life of humans,but not forgetting the fulfilment of being in the tide. Perhaps it's not a bad thing in the end. 


Churches strive to attain the highest number of fans,lost sheep, SINNERS and literally employers to pay the self proclaimed anointed,those who woke up one day and decided they are called to minister and steer God's will.


The happenings that have been witnessed in the last decade in the sanctuaries of God leaves personal choice the sole purpose to define a spiritual stand.


It is important to read through the fine details of religious doctrines and understanding. To know what exactly the art of deception is,that I won't talk about today. 


It is paramount to look at the biblical meaning of life as a philosophical and scholarly interrogation of order than an imposition of God's will. The latter is defying logic to satisfy personal gratification.


Spirituality is personal,it's deep,it's tough, people rather avoid it for the easy preachy gospel and a simplistic in and out sham defining religion of opinion worship. 


"Believing or not makes no difference to the

Absolute of Things That Be. 

But it does to you. 

For you shall live and die accordingly.

A wise person, or a fool. Choose."


And to end this, 


Reality is the only thing that exists, believe it on not. As children play games with imaginary things, initially a seeker indulges in little things. 


So simple people believe in simple things.

Road not taken;the love and the urge to grow

It's been a while since I read a Sunday Nation's lifestyle magazine. In the years between 2011 and 2014, it was a religious practice to wait for the next Sunday so as to read Mwalimu Andrew's column Staffroom diary,Yusuf K Dawood's Surgeon's diary and also Chris Hart's column on relationships,assume it was the literature for me and not relationship advise. Highschool absorbed me and my magazine reading took a dive off the plane.  But am glad I would later get to be a fan of the Nairobian and met the pen of Silas Nyanchwani in his retrosexual column and Tony Mochama in the pulse magazine, just to mention a few. After those good years of newspaper and magazine readership,I have been slow about reading them. I don't remember the last time I read from a newspaper, leave alone the insiders, except the headlines I bump on the streets in the busy buzzing Nairobi days.
